Filter Seller Conversations and Send Bulk Messages More Safely
Narrow your inbox by request status, select only eligible conversations, and review one message before sending it to multiple buyers.
When several buyers are interested in your startup, inbox filters and bulk actions can help you send a consistent update without opening every conversation individually.
Before you send, narrow the inbox to the intended audience, check the selected count, and review the message. Each buyer receives the message privately in their own conversation.
Filter your seller conversations
- From your seller account, go to Inbox > Messages.
- Open the status menu above the conversation list.
- Choose the request status you want to see:
- All shows conversations allowed by your other inbox filters.
- Approved shows buyers whose access requests you approved.
- Pending shows buyers whose access requests are still waiting for your decision.
- If needed, combine the status with Unread, search by buyer name or email, or use the additional filters:
- Favorites shows conversations you marked as favorites.
- Identity shows buyers with verified identity.
- Identity and funds shows buyers with verified funds.
- Trusted buyer shows buyers with trusted-buyer status.
- Show archived buyers includes archived conversations.
Changing a filter clears any bulk selection already in progress. This prevents conversations from a previous audience from carrying into the next send.
Note: Turning on Show archived buyers disables bulk actions. Turn it off before selecting conversations.
Choose All, Approved, or Pending from the seller inbox.
Select the conversations you want to message
- Set every filter you need before starting the selection.
- Select the bulk-actions icon above the conversation list.
- Select conversations individually, or use Select all, Select all approved, or Select all pending, depending on the active status.
- Check the selected count in the bulk-action bar.
Select all uses the full filtered result and skips conversations that are not eligible for bulk messaging. A conversation can be unavailable when, for example, the buyer does not have an eligible buyer plan, the buyer was rejected, the conversation is archived, or the startup is under offer without an approved LOI from that buyer. The bulk control is not tied to a seller plan, but bulk actions are unavailable if your startup is archived or rejected.
An active advisor conversation can also be selectable. If one appears in your filtered list, deselect it before sending a buyer-only update.
There is no recipient limit shown in the bulk-message interface. For important updates, smaller batches can make the selected audience easier to verify.
Verify the selected count before choosing Send saved reply.
Choose and review a saved reply
- From the bulk-action bar, select Send saved reply.
- Choose an existing saved reply.
- To create one, select the plus icon, add an internal title and a message of up to 1,000 characters, and select Save. Buyers do not see the title.
- Select the new reply from the list.
- Select Next to open Review and send.
- Read the message again and confirm the count on the Send to N buyers button. The review step shows the count, not a list of recipient names, so verify the selected conversations before you open it.
- Edit the message if needed, then send it.
An edit made on the review step applies only to this send and does not change the saved reply. The same message is sent to every selected conversation, so avoid greetings or details that assume one specific recipient. Bulk messages do not support merge fields or individual personalization.
Review the message and recipient count before sending.
What buyers receive
Each buyer receives the message as a normal message in their individual Acquire conversation. They cannot see the saved-reply title, how many other recipients were selected, or who those recipients are.
Approved buyers can see the private startup context their access allows. Pending buyers receive a generic startup identity in message notifications, so your private listing and founder details are not exposed before you approve access.
With the audience narrowed, the selected count checked, and the message reviewed, you can keep buyers informed while protecting private details and avoiding unintended sends.
