How to configure automatic buyer access and NDA signing
Automate mutual NDA signing, buyer approvals, and follow-up messages while keeping control of your private information.
Automatic buyer access lets you decide how Acquire handles new requests for your startup's private information. Every buyer signs a mutual NDA when requesting access. You can also save your seller signature, approve eligible requests automatically, and send buyers a reply when access is granted.
New listings start with these automation settings off. You can configure them during listing setup, then manage them directly from your listing after it goes live.
1. Choose your automatic buyer-access settings
During listing setup, continue through the Marketplace section until you reach Automatic buyer access.
Choose from these options:
- Auto-sign mutual NDAs uses your saved signature to sign the mutual NDA for future buyer requests. Turning it on also makes automatic approval available.
- Auto-reply message sends a saved message in chat when a buyer is first approved for access. You can enter up to 1,000 characters. Add a non-blank message and select Save.
- Auto-approve startup access grants eligible buyers access as soon as they submit a signed request. This option appears only when Auto-sign mutual NDAs is on.
If auto-sign is on but auto-approve is off, Acquire attaches your saved signature to the mutual NDA and keeps the request pending until you approve it.

2. Add your signature for future mutual NDAs
If you turn on Auto-sign mutual NDAs, select Next to open Sign your mutual NDA.
- Type the signature you want Acquire to use.
- Choose how you are signing:
- As an individual: enter your legal first and last name.
- As a company: enter the business entity name and your job title.
- Select Next to save your signature and continue.
You must complete the signature and all fields for the option you selected before you can continue.
3. Add or update an automatic reply
Turn on Auto-reply message during listing setup or from your live listing to greet buyers when they receive access. You might introduce yourself, suggest a next step, or include a booking link.
Enter your message and select Save. The message is sent after the buyer is first approved, whether approval happens automatically or you approve the request yourself.

4. Understand what buyers experience
Automatic approval does not bypass Acquire's normal buyer eligibility, subscription, or request limits.
- When auto-sign and auto-approve are on, an eligible buyer signs the mutual NDA and receives access immediately.
- When auto-sign is on and auto-approve is off, the request waits for your approval. Your saved signature is already available for the mutual NDA.
- When auto-sign is off, the request waits for your approval and Acquire takes you through the mutual-NDA signing flow before granting access.
Your private information stays hidden until access is approved.
5. Manage automation from your live listing
After your listing goes live, you can change these settings without reopening listing setup:
- Open your listing in the seller view.
- Scroll to Private information.
- Use the switches for Auto-sign mutual NDAs, Auto-reply message, and Auto-approve startup access.
If you have not saved an NDA signature yet, select Set up and complete the signing flow first. When Auto-reply message is on, its editor appears in this section so you can save or edit the message.

Keep these in mind:
- Turning off Auto-sign mutual NDAs also turns off automatic approval. Future requests will wait for you to review and sign.
- Turning off automatic approval does not revoke access you already granted.
- Editing or disabling your automatic reply affects future approvals. Messages already sent remain in chat.
- These controls are unavailable after the listing is sold.
Advisors and admins can see whether these settings are on or off, but they cannot change them from this panel.
Choose the settings that match how closely you want to review each buyer, and adjust them as your listing gains interest.
