How to verify a US-based entity with Persona

In addition to verifying identity, all sellers must now verify their business (US only) and identity (all other countries) before listing on the marketplace. Verification builds trust with buyers and helps with early diligence, saving you time and energy later.
We've partnered with the verification platform Persona to verify your ID and business. Buyers will never see your identification or business details, and Persona protects your information by following the strictest privacy and security standards.
You'll receive a Verified badge on your profile after completing the process. Follow the steps below to get verified and reassure buyers you and your business are legitimate.
Only sellers listing US-based businesses and selling as an entity need to complete business verification. If you're based outside of the US and/or are selling as an individual, you only need to complete ID verification.
How to verify your business (US-based entities)
When you complete your listing, we'll immediately ask you to verify your business.
1. Click Verify with Persona to begin the process.
2. When the Persona page pops up, click Get started.
3. Your business name should autofill on the next screen. Enter your Employer identification number and business address into the remaining boxes.
4. Your email address and first and last name should autofill. If they don't, enter them and click Next.
5. Upload your proof of business address and/or your incorporation certificate.
Your proof of address document must include the business name, business address, and the date.
8. Persona will process the document to ensure it's good for review. If the document is not accepted, you can try again or contact support.
That's it! Persona will review your information and approve or reject your application shortly. You can also begin the ID verification process immediately after completing business verification.
